Welcome to the Interoperability services (WP 11) reference group forum.

Welcome to Data maintenance/Business process NMCAs (WP 9) reference group.

Our objectives are:

Developing a sustainable and harmonised approach for a maintenance of (large-medium–small scale) datasets at a European level knowing that the maintenance will be effective at national level by finding gain methods and best practices for 3 data maintenance issues:

1. Cross-border data consistency looking into methodologies for edge-matching
maintenance. Important to be able to combine seamlessly spatial data from different
sources.

2. to ensure stable Unique Identifiers (UIDs), workable at European level in the framework of
a data maintenance at national level

Welcome to Metadata and quality guidelines (WP 8) reference group forum.

Our objectives are:

To provide users of reference information harmonized metadata concepts for discovery and data evaluation purposes. Guidelines for the creation of discovery metadata and data evaluation for the data providers of reference information will be developed.
To describe a common approach for data quality of reference information in large and small scales. This will be carried out by developing a quality model based on best practices at the dataproviders in Europe and international standards (ISO 19113, ISO 19114, ISO/TS 19138).

Wellcome to ExM – Large scale (WP 7) reference group forum.

This work package will extend the European data specification (ExM ) based upon the recognition of the mapping from National Mapping and Cadastral Agencies (NMCA’s) schemas, which will be different from country to country. A focus will be put on the pan European aspect, being aware that each NMCA has different schemas, and that the data according to these schemas may fulfil different aspects of the INSPIRE requirements.

The ExM will be extended with land parcels, which are the responsibilities of the NMCA’s.

Welcome to the ExM - Medium/small Scale (WP 6) refrence group forum.

Our objectives are:
• Migration of harmonised EGM/ERM/EBM specifications to INSPIRE:
• Creation of a European data specification (ExM) at small and medium scale topographic and administrative reference information which shall be derived from the existing datasets EuroRegionalMap (ERM), EuroGlobalMap (EGM) and EuroBoundaryMap (EBM).
• The specifications will be compliant with the INSPIRE Generic Conceptual Model and Implementing Rules on Annex I themes and should, as a result, meet the customers demands in future.

We are looking forward to start communication with you!

Welcome on Technical Architecture and Coordination (WP5) reference group forum.

The objectives of this work package is to describe and update the technical architecture within EuroGeographics member organisations to ensure that the National Mapping and Cadastral Agencies (NMCA’s) are able to deliver data and services that conforms to the INSPIRE requirements.

The architecture will enable the migration from the existing pan European products EuroBoundaryMap, EuroRegionalMap and EuroGlobalMap to INSPIRE compliant specifications, as well as enable data access based upon the original data in each NMCA.
We are looking forward to start communication with you!

Welcome on the Stakeholder engagement and Data access and licensing policy (WP3 & 4) reference group forum

Main objectives of our activities are:

• Define Use cases consistent with the RISE/INSPIRE Methodology

• Maintain effective communication with INSPIRE Drafting Teams and Thematic Working Groups, GMES Bureau, ISCGM, ISO and OGC(E)

• Establish effective engagement with the reference group, data providers, VARs, system integrators and users to identify requirements, in both public and private and academic sectors, and existing obstacles to greater use and re-use of Geographical digital content.

ExM data specifications at the ESDIN Closing WS 29th March 2011

Dear members of the reference group,

interested in geting the full picture of "How to transform national specifications to provide cross-border solutions"?

Join us and participate at the ESDIN closing WS 29th March 2011 in Brussels.
Find the agenda here.

We are looking forward to welcoming you at the ESDIN closing workshop!

Revised version of ExM data specification (medium/small scale)

WP6 published a revised version of the ExM data specification (medium/small scale)!

The ExM data specification (medium/small scale) enables the interoperability of topographic and administrative reference data according to the requirements set in the INSPIRE directive and to other user requirements at the European and global levels. It is understood as the conceptual data model for creating harmonised cross-border, cross-theme and cross-resolution pan-European reference data from national contributions.

ExM data specification (medium/small scale) package consists of:

Final version of D6.3 Specification of the transformation between EBM/ERM/EGM and ExM data available!

Dear members of the reference group,

within the ESDIN project the transformation specification provided the base for ESDIN WP11 to actually transform the data from the source datasets into the target model of ExM. This implementation resulted in 3 ExM datasets and enabled the provision of the data through INSPIRE compliant ExM Services as well as testing of the data and services in WP12.
